How can i make a reservation?
You can make a booking by:
- filling out the online reservation form
- contacting us by telephone (+30 2695062237 or +30 6979294376)
- contacting us via contact form
Is it possible to cancel or alter a reservation?
Yes. If you would like to change or cancel your reservation of a vehicle after a reservation, you can make it 7 days before the pickup HERE or in the information link in the bottom of the website, without any charge. You just need the reservation code.
What are the methods of payment for the vehicle rental services?
You can pay by cash or Credit card.
Should I pay a deposit?
For bookings for 3 days or more, there is no deposit. You must pay on pickup. For single-day bookings you will have to pay deposit in order the reservation to be valid.
Are the vehicles insured?
The price includes the following insurance:
- Local Taxes and Vat
- Third-party insurance (T.P.I)
- Car Theft Protection (C.T.P)
For Full Insurance there is extra charge 5€ per day.
All cars have full insurance with 150€ excess.
How do I pick-up the vehicle?
If you are collecting the vehicle anywhere on the island apart from our offices, one of our employees will be waiting for you with a sign bearing your name. On your part, you must have your driving license with you.
Does pick-up or drop-off take place beyond working hours?
You can pick up or drop off the rental vehicle:
- May-October: 8:00-22:00
Is an international driving license necessary?
To rent a vehicle, the renter needs is to have an E.U. or International driving license.
What is the minimum legal age limit to rent a car?
The minimum age to rent a moto is 20 years of age. For the rest vehicles is 21 years of age. The driving license should be valid for at least 1 year prior to the date of rental.
What should I do, if the vehicle breaks down?
If your vehicle breaks down, please call us immediately at +30 2695062237 or +30 6979294376 24/7.
Can i get the vehicle outside of Zakynthos island by ferry?
To take the car to another island, you need written permission from Helmis Rentals. You should be aware of the fact that during sea transport, the company does not cover you for damage or loss of the vehicle.
Are there any maps in the vehicle?
Yes, if you wish, we will provide maps of Zakynthos for free.
Is it possible to add an additional driver?
Yes you can add an additional driver with an extra cost 10€ per day.
Are child seats available?
Child seats for children of all ages are available for free.
Can I pick-up and drop-off the vehicle anywhere on the island?
Yes you can pick up and drop off the vehicle anywhere on the island, but for distance more than 20kms from the office is 20€ extra charge.
What is the company’s policy on off-road driving?
Our vehicles, including four-wheel drive vehicles, must only be used on asphalt roads. Off road prohibited by law.
What do I have to do in the event of an accident?
You must call the emergency number 112 immediately and then make contact with Helmis Rentals.
